Textbooks in Japan following the latest trends change. Now, publishers of school textbooks in the land of the Rising Sun teen idol to put slang into written material.
The publisher states, next spring, will be more casual topics are often used in English language textbooks other than the other subjects.
Some English text books will feature the phrase commonly used in electronic mail or a blog. For example, “I want the phone to automatically delete junk mail,” while others use the word in internet slang such as “gr8″ for “great”.
“Even children who are not fluent in English will find interesting material if the words are familiar, used,” said one editor of the textbook makers.
